The Magic of Oz - Cartoon Films - Described as ‘The worst cartoon of all time’

The Magic of Oz (partial restoration) - Featured at OzCon 2023 in The Rare, The Bad and The Oddity presentation. The Magic of Oz has been called the worst cartoon of all time, and while that may be an overstatement, harsh criticism is well deserved. Compounding the complete lack of artistic merit, the versions circulating online suffer from mediocre transfers of poor source copies. In this partial restoration, I eliminated the extreme hiss to provide a more listenable experience. At the same time, on the visual side, I toned down the color shift and lightened exposure to reveal some more detail in the shadow regions. I also sharpened the image slightly. Of course, there is only so much one can do without starting from original elements (which are presumed lost), so the video is still sorely lacking.
