In this video, learn how to make grandma’s traditional Ukdiche Modak or steamed rice flour dumplings filled with sweet coconut filling! It’s a very popular dessert from India and is made during Ganapati Festival! While we may have many recipes, I bet none can beat grandma’s!! It was so good to watch and learn how grandma prepared them diligently and with all the love while the doting grand daughter followed her.❤️ Here are a few important things you must keep in mind while making these Modaks: 1. While making coconut filling, ensure you always use grated jaggery. Cook only till jaggery melts to get a moist filling. 2. The rice flour dough must be kept covered with wet kitchen towel all the time. If at anytime doughy appears to be dry, knead it once again to make it soft. 3.
