An enhanced undergraduate experience for students of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Science, the new College of Humanities and Sciences marks an important shift from current singular discipline or multidisciplinary studies to a flexible, broad-based, interdisciplinary curriculum that equips students with the relevant skills to thrive in the future workplace. The launch event will include a stimulating panel discussion on “The Future of Work”. Moderated by Prof Tan Eng Chye, NUS President, panellists Ms Lai Wei Lin, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Law and Second Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, and Mr Ye Gang, Co-Founder and Group Chief Operating Officer, Sea, will share their views on how education has to adapt to changing times and needs, and what is required of the future worker, respectively.
