I think someone should come out with a book called "Liberal Fragility", she's pretty much given a great outline. ....وسعت

Even then, I would tell them they're being id="hidden24" class="buttons"> abusive despite them trying to turn it around me (DiAngelo style). So it baffles me HOW and WHY people let this woman and others like her treat them like this. Moreover, the way people laughed when she called them racist. This is self flagellation of the worst kind. What do they get out of it? It's not even virtue signaling because there's no reward or promise of a better world for them at the end of the world.
The only thing missing from this modern puritanical system is witch trials followed by hangings and being pressed to death like in the colonies at the time of Salem 1692.

Races are different which means tretating races different is not racist. Treating id="hidden27" class="buttons"> individuals with prejudice is raciat though since individuals can differ from the mean racial traits.
Racism is prejudice based on race. So treating people different if its based on facts is not racism.

@neoepicurean3772منذ 3 سنوات By racist she means 'see a difference', and she means ANY difference. And also any generalisation. For example, if I meet a young black fella with id="hidden29" class="buttons"> his hood up then I, firstly I notice he's black, then I might make an assumption that he likes rap music or something. I don't happen to like modern rap music, and I think it is not very intellectually stimulating (same can be said for majority of pop music). This is what she would describe as racism. I've seen a difference, or an 'other, and made a generalisation which would probably leave me with a slightly negative impression of the person, even if it is not something I really thought about, it's more 'unconscious'. People that do this (and almost everyone does something similar to some degree) recognise they do this and therefore think 'oh, she must be right, I'm racist: 'I must repent!' It's a good scheme for selling what she is selling. Unfortunately it's just a redefinition of racism to mean something that is pretty unavoidable as a human – we simply do not have enough time to judge everyone we pass on the street from the ground up, some shortcuts must be take, generalisations – so thus everyone is a racist. ....وسعت 2

She's thinking the same about white progressives all over the US only, it's not sushi, it's white fragility. ....وسعت
  • @
@shalomhobbitess7509منذ 3 سنوات She says she learned everything she knows about white guilt in Seattle, and I believe her. Seattle is one of the whitest (and also one of the most progressive) id="hidden31" class="buttons"> cities in the nation, meaning it's full of progressive white kids who grew up never knowing anyone of color -- but who are convinced that colored people are all terribly oppressed. And then, as DiAngelo reports in her book, the find themselves approaching an all black group sheer terrified of them, and "realize they're racist."
Those of us living in the rest of the country, where it's perfectly possible for your best friend in grade school to be black, or your first dance partner in Jr. High to be black, or to hang out in groups of friends that are mixed race, know she's insane, because we have known plenty of middle-class black people whose main "black struggle" as teenagers was figuring out what it means to be black, and also well off and generally treated decently. Racism is categorizing people by the color of their skin, and it's a lot tougher to do when you've known multiple, varied individuals of every color. But DiAngelo didn't grow up that way, and she thinks her white childhood is normal and average. Progressives always seem to think their life is the white norm, to an extent that is mindboggling. I've known progressives who think nearly everyone on welfare is black. They've never knowingly known a poor white person in their entire life, and the whole concept is alien to them.
Progressives live in their little bubble, and then they scold us for acting as if we do not -- even though we don't, and never have.

The thing she doesn't say (or maybe id="hidden32" class="buttons"> doesn't realize) about Seattle is that Washington State is about 80% White, making it one of the most White states voting Blue in elections. Quite a fact to leave out, considering that she herself states racial bias comes from lack of interaction with races other than one's own, and that ethnocentricity is one of the key components to "White Fragility". Now how "White Fragility" became considered a pan-national and pan-global phenomenon, rather than just an indictment of how hypocritical the red-lining Pacific NW is, book sales, pure and simple. ....وسعت
