I would say, from personal experience, that masturbating alone when you're in a committed relationship can be the result of unfulfilled id="hidden2" class="buttons"> sexual needs. For example, when you're a man and your wife no longer has any drive and repeatedly rejects your advances with comments like "I'm too fat / I don't feel sexy / you wouldn't like the way I look now".
