The Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery is a program run by the U.S. Department of State that provides a limited number of visas to individuals from countries with historically low rates of immigration to the United States. It is also known as the Green Card Lottery or the DV Lottery.
The DV Lottery aims to diversify the immigrant population in the United States by providing an opportunity for individuals from countries with low rates of immigration to obtain permanent residency. The program is open to individuals who meet certain eligibility requirements, including having a high school education or equivalent, or at least two years of work experience in certain occupations.
