Ingredients
For Boilling,
• Soaked black chickpeas 500gms
• Salt 1 ½ tsp
For Cook,
• Oil - 3 tbsp
• Cardamom - NO.3
• Cinnamon - NO.2
• Bay leaves - NO.2
• Onion chopped - 1 Cup
• Green chili - NO.2
• Potato chopped - 1 Cup
• Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
• Salt to taste
• Garlic paste - 1 tsp
• Ginger paste - 1 tsp
• Red chili powder - 1 tsp
• Garam masala - 1 tsp
Method
- Put black chickpeas in a pot with salt and water
- Boil until 70% soft with lid and keep aside
- Heat a pan and add cardamom,cinnamon,bay leaf,onions,green chilli and sauté for few mins
- Add potato chopped with turmeric powder,salt,garlic paste,ginger paste,red chilli powder and garam masala
- Mix,sauté and cook for few mins
- Add the cooked black chickpeas then cook for another 5-7 minutes on low heat
- Garnish with onion rings,lemon juice and chopped green chilli
- Chana masala is ready to be served
