Bangkok to Chiang Mai sleeper train 1st class

Instead of taking the easy route we decided to take the scenic route. This is the train journey from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. How beautiful is it? HIT SAVE to add to your bucket list. So here is some info you may want to know. Ticket price for the private cabin was $40 pp for adults and $20 for child. Breakfast $5.50pp (super basic and quite pricey). Instant coffee $1.15. Standard non private beds are $24. We only took the train because we wanted to enjoy the scenic ride. But actually the cheaper and more affordable route for us would’ve been airplane.
