My Dad was the one who cooked the really delicious meals usually on a Sunday. I grew up wanting to learn how to cook and wanting to do it for myself because it sucked not having yummy food for the majority of weekday meals so I learned and now I make baller meals and I get called “a turned homemaker” as if that’s a bad thing? Heck yes I’m a homemaker and guess what, I mountain bike and I do cool, fun things too! It’s weird my sisters say “oh I don’t know how to cook” and use it almost as a badge of honor. I hope it’s something they’ll grow out of. I’m 100% with you. It’s not cool. Learn it and lean into it.
